Mountgrove Road

We remodelled this three storey Victorian house, creating additional living space and a new rooftop bedroom. The ground floor was extended into the garden to create a 12m long kitchen and family room. A secret study is concealed behind sliding doors within a storage wall running the length of the room. A new split-level children’s bedroom with a juliet balcony and far reaching views has been added at roof level. The boat-like sleeping area is semi-separated from a lower area which is kept free for play and study. The bedroom extension is clad in crisp dark grey zinc, referring to the dark grey slate roofs of the existing terrace.
